You can create 360 degree spherical videos from animations generated in Smart Review. The Main view supports all three animation types and the Renderer view supports raytraced Key Frame animations.

  1. Create your animations.

  2. To create a video based on an animation running in the Main view, click Animation > Playback/Capture Settings > Common to select the animation playback types and change any playback options such as Start and End time, and Step in days to set the speed before you record. For more information, see Common Playback/Capture Settings.

For a video based on raytraced images running in the Renderer view, select Key Frame as the animation type.

When creating an animation for 360 degree viewing, we recommend that you record it at a slower playback speed for a smoother video.

  3. Click the Record tab, and then select Sphere.

The software automatically selects Ignore aspect ratio, and sets the default dimensions to 1024 x 1024.

  4. Select Raytrace image if you have a Key Frame animation to render and create as a video.

The software automatically opens the Renderer window.

  5. Browse or enter the location and name for Output file name, and the output file type such as .png, .jpg, or an .avi file.

  6. Click Animation > Player, and then click Record .

You can also access the Record command from the following locations:

    • Use the shortcut key combination CTRL + SHIFT + R.

    • Click Animation > Record.

The software opens the Animation Player at the bottom of the Main view and then displays the Save output file as dialog box.

  7. Click Save to confirm or change the selected path, file name, and file type, and then click Play .

For file types other than .avi, the software records the playback as a series of still image files. You can use third-party tools to combine or stitch the image files into a video file.

  • If you have Loop or Pong controls enabled, the recording does not stop until you click Stop.

  • Any motion or modifications made in the Main view as you are recording are also recorded. To make sure you capture only the animation as it plays, do not make changes or move during the recording.
