Animation > Display Sets > Lock by View

Toggles on and off automatically locking North, East, or Elevation locks based on the current view orientation. This command does not turn off any locks that have been previously set. When this command is enabled, a checkmark is placed by the appropriate North, East or Elevation locks in the menu. When rotating a display set, the current view orientation also determines on which axis the display set is rotated.

All locking toggle commands are also available in the Animation toolbar. You can look at the lock command buttons in the Animation toolbar to see the different lock states. A pressed-in button indicates the lock state is active. You can see all the current locks that you have.

  1. Click Edit > Select Filter > Display Sets.

  2. From the Project Manager or the Main view, select the display set to move.

  3. To make sure display set motion is enabled, click Motion > [Display Set Name].

  4. To lock the display set motion to the current view you have, click Animation > Display Sets > Lock by View.

  5. Drag and drop the display set to its new location.
