Installation & Upgrade
  1. Invoke Smart Materials Web API tool from the installation path.

    C:\Program Files\INTERGRAPH\Smart Materials Web API\tools\WEBAPIConfigTool

  2. Run the Intergraph.WebApi.ServiceConfiguration tool.exe file as administrator.

  3. Enter the Username and Password, use the same credentials you use to login SAM.

  4. Select the Register New Service option while requesting for the new service.

    Alternatively, select the Update Existing Service option while updating the existing service.

  5. Click Generate.

    The service secret is automatically generated and displayed in the Service Secret box. Secret is generated to hold relation between client and service.

  6. After Service Secret is generated, click Next.

  7. Provide the Application Name as required, and click Next.

    Application Name: Name given to the application when hosted in IIS.

    Application Pool: New application pool to isolate the application.

    Enable Https: Checking this will enable Https Protocol standards.

    Https Certificate: Can view the Https Certificate provided.

    Https Port: Port number where the application will be hosted.

  8. Select the required Monitoring Database and click Next.

    Monitoring of requests from client and services can be logged in selected database provider.

    Database Provider: Can select the required provider from the available provider

    Server Name: Server details where monitoring details will be stored.

    Port: Port of the server being hosted

    Database Name: Database name in selected sever where monitoring details are stored.

    User Name/Password: Credentials required to access the Monitoring Database.

  9. If needed you can save the configuration settings to a file by clicking Save to File.

  10. Click Finish after 100% completion.

  11. After registering the API, launch the IIS Manager, select the Application, go to Manage Application à Advanced Settings à Enabled Protocols, and add http,https as shown below.
