Allows you to define a weld symbol and the label template used to place that symbol. The options correspond to the properties you define using the StructPhysicalConnection Properties dialog box.

Weld label templates are in the [Reference Data Folder]\SharedContent\Drawings\Catalog\Labels\Templates\WeldSymbols folder.

The graphic below shows a standard ISO weld symbol and the check boxes that display in the the upper-left pane of the Symbol Configuration tab.

Click a check box to display options that allow you to customize the corresponding part of the weld symbol, define new weld symbol labels, and display or hide labels. The options display on the right side of the Symbol Configuration tab. Clear a check box to hide the corresponding options. You can select multiple check boxes. Depending on the selected weld label template, some check boxes might be unavailable.

A red outline on a check box indicates that you cannot modify that option. In the graphic above, you cannot clear check boxes 5, 6, and Tail Note is a Reference (above check box 7).

Symbol Configuration Options

Visible

Displays the weld symbol when the weld label is placed. This option is not available for Field Weld Symbol, All Around Symbol, or Tail Note/Tail Note Is A Reference.

Select the Visible check box to display the value on the weld label. When you click Save, the software updates the label template XML as shown in the example below.

Expression Text

(Optional) Specifies the text the label displays. Type the value into the text box. Alternatively, use the text returned by the label template.

Condition

(Optional) Displays conditions for customizing the weld symbol. Select And or Or from the list. Use this property for complicated weld labels that require multiple rows.

Label Template

Displays the available label templates. The default label template is automatically selected.

Operator

(Optional) Displays attributes for customizing the weld symbol. The available operators are =, <>, >, >=, <, <=, Starts with, Ends with, Contains, and Does not contain. Select one operator from the list. Alternatively, use the value returned by the label template.

Value

(Optional) Displays the label text that is defined in the label template. Use this box to compare value in the Expression Text box to the text returned by the label template. Alternatively, use the value returned by the label template.

Com_Add ICON Add

Inserts another row of options.

Com_Cancel ICON Delete

Removes the last row of options.
