RibbonBar Icons

The following table displays the icons and their descriptions for the various CloudWorx commands:

Project

Open Project - Opens a saved CloudWorx project file. The project information is saved in the current session file. When you use Open Project, you either associate a previously saved CloudWorx project to this session, or you simply restore a previously closed project using Close Project. For more information, see Open Project.

Close Project - Closes the current CloudWorx project. This command disconnects from all point sources and also releases the license usage that is previously obtained by Open Project. For more information, see Close Project.

Import Point Cloud Data - Establishes a connection to an existing ModelSpace View or JetStream project. After establishing the connection, the software loads the contained point clouds and displays the data in the Smart 3D workspace. For more information, see Import Point Cloud Data.

Preferences - Allows you to change some preferences. For more information, see Preferences.

ScanWorld Explorer - Perform various tasks relating to the source ScanWorlds for the open ModelSpace View. For more information, see ScanWorld Explorer.

Configure Databases - Allows you to manage servers, databases, modelspace views, and shortcuts. For more information, see Configure Databases.

Modeling

Fit Pipe - Used to find a pipe from the given seed point. For more information, see Fit Pipe.

Flange Work Point - Assists in determining the placement position for flanges and flanged components. For more information, see Flange Work Point.

Connect Pipes - Connects the selected pipes (as construction lines) by minimized adjustment. For more information, see Connect Pipes.

Enable/Disable Snap on Points - Used to toggle the ability to select the point clouds.

TruSpace

Open TruSpace - Opens the active TruSpace viewer. For more information, see TruSpace Tools.

Close TruSpace - Closes the active TruSpace viewer.

Show/Hide TruSpace - Shows or hides the TruSpace viewer without closing it. This is a toggle item.

Open KeyPlan - Opens the KeyPlan associated with the current ModelSpace. For more information, see TruSpace Tools.

Close KeyPlan - Closes the active KeyPlan viewer.

Sync Toggles - Starts a modeless dialog box with synchronization settings and the quick limit box size. The dialog is automatically shown when you open TruSpace or KeyPlan. For more information, see TruSpace Tools.

Perspective Camera Off - Used to conveniently switch back to parallel projection (Orthographic mode).

Clipping

Clipping Manager - Allows you to create, edit, and delete clipping records in CloudWorx. For more information, see Clipping Manager.

Limit Box - Used to define a 3D box beyond which points are not displayed or processed. For more information, see Define Limit Box.

Clipping Off - Turns off clipping.

X Negative - Defines a plane whose normal direction is X_, all the points on the opposite side of the plane are clipped out. For more information, see Section View.

X Positive - Defines a plane whose normal direction is X+, all the points on the opposite side of the plane are clipped out. For more information, see Section View.

Y Negative - Defines a plane whose normal direction is Y_, all the points on the opposite side of the plane are clipped out. For more information, see Section View.

Y Positive - Defines a plane whose normal direction is Y+, all the points on the opposite side of the plane are clipped out. For more information, see Section View.

Slice X-axis - Defines two parallel planes whose normal direction is X-axis, all the points not between the two planes are clipped out. For more information, see Slice.

Slice Y-axis - Defines two parallel planes whose normal direction is Y-axis, all the points not between the two planes are clipped out. For more information, see Slice.

Slice Forward - Moves the existing slice by one step (equal to the thickness of the slice) in the positive direction along its axis. For more information, see Slice.

Slice Backward - Moves the existing slice by one step (equal to the thickness of the slice) in the negative direction along its axis. For more information, see Slice.

Hide Inside - Hides all the points inside of a user-defined fence. For more information, see Fence.

Hide Outside - Hides all the points outside of a user-defined fence. For more information, see Fence.

Show/Hide Points - Toggles the overall visibility of point clouds.

Point Rendering

Intensity Mapping - Used to display points with intensity mapped colors. For more information, see Color Modes.

Regenerate Point Clouds - Regenerates all the cloud points necessary to view the maximum level of detail in the current viewport. For more information, see Regenerate Point Clouds.

Color Mapping - Allows for a global override of point cloud coloring. For more information, see Color Mapping.

Color From Scanner - Used to display points with colors from scanner when color data is available. For more information, see Color Modes.

Increase Point Size - Used to increase the size of the display points. For more information, see Color Modes.

Decrease Point Size - Used to decrease the size of the display points. For more information, see Color Modes.

Highest Point Density - Displays the image with highest point density. For more information, see Point Density Control.

High Point Density - Displays the image with high point density. For more information, see Point Density Control.

Medium Point Density - Displays the image with medium point density. For more information, see Point Density Control.

Low Point Density - Displays the image with low point density. For more information, see Point Density Control.

Least Point Density - Displays the image with least point density. For more information, see Point Density Control.
