The BendOrSplitRule.cls class module contains the plate knuckle rules.
You can modify the following:
-
The knuckle manufacturing method, such as bent or split.
-
The inner radius for a bent knuckle.
The software uses the following convention to determine the knuckle manufacturing type to use as the basis of the rule:
-
If the knuckle is on the hull, the knuckle type is set to split.
-
If the knuckle is not on the hull and the knuckle curve is linear, the knuckle type is set to bend. The inner radius is determined by the plate thickness.
-
If the plate thickness is less than 10mm, the inner radius is set to 50mm.
-
If the plate thickness is less than 20mm but greater or equal to 10mm, the inner radius is set to 100mm.
-
If the plate thickness is less than 30mm but greater or equal to 2 mm, the inner radius is set to 150mm.
-
If the plate thickness is greater or equal to 30mm, the inner radius is set to 200mm.
-
-
If the knuckle curve is non-linear, the knuckle type is set to split.
