Quite often it may be necessary to have more than one file open at once. You may want to compare information in two files or even transfer information from one file to another. In such cases, you need to be able to arrange the open windows in a way that makes it easier for you to use them.

With SmartPlant Markup Plus, it is even possible to have the same file open in multiple windows, showing various views or focusing on different areas as needed. All changes you make to the file in one window are reflected in the other windows.

The Windows menu contains three commands that help arrange SmartPlant Markup Plus windows in a useful manner. The New Window command allows you to open files in a separate window, making it easier for you to move back and forth between multiple files, since you don't have to keep opening and closing them.

The Cascade command allows you to arrange two or more windows on top of each other. For each file, a portion of the top and right of the window is not covered, allowing you to select the displayed portion to activate any window. If you would rather see the entire window, instead of the portion displayed in the cascade arrangement, you can use the Tile command. This command resizes all the active windows and arranges them so that they are all visible at the same time. None overlap, and they are sized so that together they cover the entire screen.
