Standard Database for Smart Reference Data Version
12.1

This Release Bulletin is a high-level description of new features for users who are familiar with Standard Database (SDB).

The Standard Database (SDB) for Intergraph Smart® Reference Data (SRD) is a preconfigured recommended practice solution to enable rapid implementation of enterprise reference data management, and/or materials management in general. The SDB incorporates a comprehensive catalog of industry standard multi-discipline material parts, organized and described for "out of the box" use by owner/operators, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction. The content is pre-configured to enable catalog and piping specification interfaces to intelligent 3D applications (Intergraph Smart® 3D, CADWorx - 21 specs, SmartPlant Isometrics - 5 specs).

The SDB preconfigured database, now commercially available with Smart Reference Data, enables users to realize the advantage and benefits that go further than the familiar Smart Reference Data benefits such as referential integrity. The new benefits include direct time and cost savings due to a fully preconfigured component catalog. Furthermore, the existing components structure and the interface provide a safe and proven start-up.

Engineering companies and operators have typically invested a substantial amount of time, money, and knowledge into the creation of intelligent and high-quality piping standards. The advantage of utilizing the Smart Reference Data - SDB is that it enables engineers to re-use and maintain this knowledge asset while leveraging it for their projects.

For more detailed information about the new features highlighted in this document, see the product documentation. Intergraph Process, Power & Marine (PPM) product documentation is also available on the Intergraph Smart Support Web site at https://smartsupport.intergraph.com.
