The following changes have been made to the Structural Manufacturing task.

Hotfix and Service Pack Updates

• Added information about the Nesting Report Command. This command provides an interface for reviewing and updating nesting data in the Smart 3D model. (P2 CP:338561)

• Updated the Reference Assembly description in the Managed Export Dialog. (P2 CP:338561)

• Added information about the Nesting LoopBack Windows Service. For more information, see Nesting LoopBack Windows Service. (P2 CP:327564)

• Added information about a new method for rotating pin jigs. See Orientation by 3 Angles under Rotation Method in Pin Jig Setup View. (P3 CP:352882)

• Added a new Generate Frame System from Pin Jig Command to Manufacturing Services. (P3 CP:308742)

• The software now supports placing a series of bridges to specific plate cutting contours such as an opening or a feature. For more information, see Cut/Mark Tab (Manufacturing Plate Properties Dialog Box). (P3 CP:312408)

• Added the Weld Compensation Command to create and edit weld compensation objects. (P3 CP:313146)

• Updated the Transformation Information description for the StructMfgSettings.xls file. For more information, see StructMfgSettings.xls. (P3 CP:314478)

• Added a new option for storing primary, secondary, and tertiary factors with user-defined units. Previously, the software automatically converted input data to system-defined units during shrinkage. The new option allows you to select user-defined units so that the software converts input data to user-defined units instead of using system units. Version 2016 (11.0)

• The Delete Optional property in Model Data Transform now supports structural manufacturing entities. (P1 CP:256797)

• Added three new properties, Nearest Corner Point, Horizontal Distance to Nearest Corner Point, and Vertical Distance to Nearest Corner Point, to the Pin Jig 3D View dialog box. For more information, see Pin Jig Setup View. (P2 CP:266128)

• You can now group structural manufacturing objects with WBS. (P2 CP:268825)

• Added the Submit Batch Job Command to run batch processes using the Intergraph Batch Services framework. (P2 CP:273093, P2 CP:178040)

• Added a new locate filter, Construction Graphics. For more information, see Selecting Objects. (P2 CP:271166)

• A new template .xml output, SMS_PLATE, supports annotations. (P2 CP:272575)

• The Annotation Editor now supports panel-line objects. (P2 CP:277667)

• You can now edit the name of the plate template. For more information, see Template Tab (Template Properties Dialog). (P2 CP:301809)

• Added two new options, Generate Unfold Data and Frame System to the Copy Structure Ribbon. (P3 CP:291554)

• The New (Block) Assembly Command is now available in the Structural Manufacturing task. (P3 CP:278504)

• Added the Managed Export commands to generate and manage XML and DSTV output for parts. See Managed Export for DSTV, Managed Export for Smart Production, Managed Export for SMS_SCHEMA, and Managed Export. (P3 CP:247834)

• The Check Manufacturability Command is now available in the Structural Manufacturing task. (P3 CP:290951)

• The Macro Editor Command is now available in the Structural Manufacturing task. (P3 CP:290751)

• A new shrinkage type By Vector is now available. In addition, the Global Axis shrinkage type has been renamed By Axis. For more information, see Shrinkage. (P3 CP:268521)

• Updated the descriptions of the pin jig properties. For more information, see General Tab (Pin Jig Properties Dialog). (P3 CP:278351)

• Added information on the Pick Edges option for selecting boundaries. For more information, see Boundary Methods. (P3 CP:289423)

• Added a new option, MfgPlate/MfgProfile unfolding semantic log, to the Unfolding Tab (Structural Manufacturing Error Log Enable Dialog). (P3 CP:292030)

• You can now select all common part managers or all manufacturing objects from the Filters list on the Manufacturing Service Manager ribbon, and use the Group option to use all connected parts. See Manufacturing Service Manager. (P3 CP:306638)

• Added the Manufacturing Panel Command to support panel-line production. (P4 CP:248100)
