Assemblies can be simple or complex; the methodology is the same in both cases. For example, a simple piping assembly could be a flange, bolt, and valve combination registered in Intergraph Smart Reference Data for subsequent use in a manual MTO estimate. Alternatively, an assembly could be a multi-discipline pump station assembly. The benefit of registering an assembly simply rests with the number or times the assembly will be used.
