  1. Click SRD > XS20 Spec > XS2020 Spec Editor.

  2. Select Specification Types/Spec Header/ Short Codes/Spec Item from the list in the tree view.

  3. Right-click the specification type, click Open Cover Page, and then scroll down to the Filtering Defaults grids.

  4. Add, modify, or delete rows as needed.

    • To add a row, select the last row in the grid on the bottom, and press the arrow down key on the keyboard.

    • To delete a row, select the row, and press DELETE on the keyboard.

  5. Save the specification.

  • If you click the browse button beside the Component Group column, the software displays a list of the component groups in the specified specification template.

  • The software does not check the From/To values. The only rule is that the From value must be less than or equal to the To value.

  • To copy data from the project filtering defaults, click Copy All Defaults or Selective Copy.

    • Copy All Defaults - The software copies all the defaults from the Project Setup > Filtering Defaults grid for which the Def field is checked and that have the same spec template and pastes them into the grid on the Cover page. The rows only get copied if they do not have any size range conflicts.

    • Selective Copy - The software displays a list of all filtering defaults that have the same specification template (independent of the Def field selection). From this list, you can choose which filtering defaults to copy. You must select at least one.
