Generate load files - SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators - Installation & Upgrade

You can use the following two methods to generate the load files using Santa Automation.

Data file solution

1. In this method, the user needs to select one of the options available in the Solution tab. These options are configured in the data.xml.

2. Upon selecting the required solution, such as Requirements Management, click Generate LoadFiles button.

3. After successful generation of the load files a Generation Complete message is shown.

Browse Excel load files

In this method the user needs to browse to the path of the Excel templates to generate them. This also provides two more options:

• Remove File - Removes the selected Excel file from the list of Excel files from which load files are to be generated.

• Clear File - Removes all the Excel files that appeared in the list box.

1. Multiple Excel load files can be browsed using this method, while the previous method does not support it.

2. Click Generate LoadFiles after selecting the Excel load files.

3. After successful generation of the load files, a Generation Complete message appears.

The configuration folder contains the schema files used for each business package. If the path of the load files (Schema, Admin and Data files that provide the SPO/E configuration and functionality) for each business package are not correctly mapped or specified in the xmlldr files, then use SANTA to regenerate the files. Once the xmlldr files are generated, load these files using SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client.
