Smart Instrumentation Rule Manager is supplied with a set of rules.  These rules consist of:

  • Engineering — rules that can be modified by the user.  By default, these rules are disabled (except for the KKS Cable Name rule). To activate, the user must clear the Disable Rule check box on the General tab of the Rule Properties dialog box of each required rule.

  • System — rules that cannot be altered by the user, and are active within Smart Instrumentation always, even if Rule Manager has not been selected in the Domain features of the Domain Definition in the System Administration module, to operate.

Rule: Backup Link Master is not Null for DCS/CENTUM CS 3000.
