While performing tasks on the field, you might face issues and problems leading to the delay in the schedule. In such scenarios, you must create and route issues from the field using the Smart Build Insight mobile application.

Scenario: You notice that there is an issue with meeting the schedule in the electrical work and you want to update the same in the Smart Build Insight mobile application.

  1. Select [Work Package 1] from the list of work packages.

  2. Tap the + icon at the top right of the work package overview screen.

    Add new issue screen appears.

  3. Select General category.

    Issue creation form appears.

  4. Tap Issue Type field and select Schedule from the list.

  5. Enter subject Delay in the wiring schedule and appropriate description.

  6. Select the following:

    Discipline: Electrical

    Priority: Medium

  7. Select Due Date- The date by when the issue needs to be resolved.

Attach an image file to the issue

  1. Take a picture of the site area where the issue is seen and save it on your mobile device.

  2. Scroll down the issue creation form till you see ADD FILES tab.

  3. Select the ADD FILES tab and select From Device Photos as source.

  4. This will allow you to browse through your device gallery and select the image you want to attach to the issue.

  5. Enter description for the image and the respective issue.

  6. Tap on Create Markup and annotate as required to highlight the area of issue.

  7. Tap on ATTACH to attach the image with mark-ups to your issue.

    The image is now added to the issue.

Add an assignee and owner to the issue

  1. Tap on ASSIGN from the issue creation form.

  2. Tap the name of the Assignee [User Name].

  3. Select Allow Response check-box.

  4. Tap on Done.

  5. Tap on ADD ISSUE OWNER.

  6. Select [User Name]

  7. Tap on Done.

  8. In the issue creation form, tap on CREATE.

    The issue is now created and a success message is shown.
