The SmartPlant Enterprise tools that participate in integration include SmartPlant adapter, specific to that tool, that are responsible for converting information shared between the tool and SmartPlant Foundation. During publish, the adapter collects the information to be shared from the tool database and converts it into the proper format for SmartPlant Foundation. During retrieve, the adapter translates the information retrieved from SmartPlant Foundation, so that it can be consumed by the authoring tool.
You can customize this process by editing the SmartPlant Adapter delivered with your authoring tool. The following sections provide information about these adapters.
Do not start the name of the new interface with the "ISPF" prefix. That prefix is
reserved for use by Hexagon.
