Enter the ratio of the design stress (ed) in the circumferential (hoop) direction to the design stress in the longitudinal direction. Because design stress is defined in Sec. 4.3 of the code as:
sdÆ = ed * EIamÆ, sdx = ed * EIamx
and design strain should be the same for both directions, this entry is also the ratio of the moduli of elasticity:

For Norwegian TBK-6 and BS 7159 piping codes, if the Eff, Cf, z field is left blank, the software uses a default value of 1.0.
