When creating similar work for different areas, or creating work that happens frequently but not according to a schedule, you might want to create a reuseable work plan template. The template can then serve as a model for the creation of new plans, providing convenience, consistency, and efficiency in planning work.

Video: Create a work plan template

To create a work plan template:

  1. Click Add

  2. In the Plan/Template list, select Template.

  3. In the Template Name box, give the template a short identifying name.

  4. Select and enter information that will be helpful as a good starting point for future plans.

  5. Click Save

To use a template:

  1. Click Use Template in the list view or detail view. The new work plan’s Detail tab opens with Plan in the Plan/Template box.

  2. Make the necessary adjustments.

  3. Click Save
