When the shift report is Open for Approval, the Start Handover button appears at the top of the report. Clicking Start Handover refreshes all imported logbook and external data, and marks the Started at time for the next instance of this shift report.
After it is clicked, the header bar shows Handover in Progress. If Start Handover was clicked by mistake, click X next to Handover in Progress to stop the handover process. The Start Handover button appears again.
When Start Handover is clicked for the shift handover, any logbook and external data added after this point will be in the next instance of this shift report.
During the Handover in Progress phase, the outgoing crew reviews the report, makes changes where necessary, and then submits the report. The user assigned to the Outgoing Operator role completes the handover checklist and approves the report.
The user assigned to the Incoming Operator reviews and approves the report. When all approvers have approved the report, the shift handover is marked as Complete.
If the shift handover is not completed before the end of the approval window, the shift handover is marked as Not Approved.
The next shift report is created when the shift handover is completed, or the end of the approval window is reached. The new shift report contains all of the data configured to carry over from the previous report, and all of the imported logbook and external data since the Start Handover button was clicked on the previous report.
