After a shift handover configuration has been saved for the first time, the following action buttons appear in the bottom-right corner of the detail view.
-
Regenerate Shift Report - Regenerates the shift report PDF attached to the shift handover entry. If, since the shift handover was completed, the shift report template’s design was changed, the regenerated shift report PDF displays the new shift report template design.
-
Force Expire - Causes the current shift report to expire. The current shift report is marked as Not Approved and the next shift report is created for the next shift with the relevant date and shift name. Any values filled in on the current shift report are carried over to the newly created shift report. Force Expire is useful when the current shift report can’t be or does not need to be completed.
You are only able to click Force Expire when the shift report is in the Open for Approval state. It is grayed out in the other states.
-
Force Handover Recreation - creates a new shift report with the same shift date, start time, and name as the current shift report. Any values filled in on the previously completed shift report that were configured to carry over, are carried over to the new shift report. The new shift report uses the latest version of the shift report template. Force Handover Recreation is useful when you want to use the latest version of the shift report template design in the current shift report. You don’t need to wait for the next shift to use the new design.
