When the Sparkline type is selected, a Chart / Sparkline subsection appears on the Properties tab.

Datasource

Select the data source that contains the tag data you want to display.

Tag

Enter the tag name (tag ID) in this box. This can be a cell reference or cell ID of a cell that contains the tag’s name.

Test Tag Availability

The Test Tag Availability button checks if the entered tag information matches a tag in the select data source and that the connection to the tag is working and returning data. If the tag is read correctly, the current value is displayed in a dialog box. Otherwise, the dialog box displays an error message.

y-Axis Min, Max

Defines the y-axis minimum and maximum values. When the tag values exceed the configured Min / Max values, these sparkline peaks are not visible in the cell.

Time Range

The time range is configured either as a Duration (in minutes) or with a Start Time and End Time based on a formula.

  • Duration (m) - Enter the number of minutes you want the sparkline to display.

  • Start Time and End Time – Enter the cell reference or cell ID (for example, =starttime) of the cells that display the start time and end time of the task or shift.

Sample Points

Determines the number of sample points used for the data range.

Data sources that support more optimal data retrieval than evenly spaced intervals might not return this exact number of sample points. In this case, the sample points are used to indicate the density of the data requested.
