The DATE(year, month, day) function can be used to specify a calculated value for a Date element. For Date & Time elements, the TIME(hour, minute, second) function can be added to a date value. For example, the formula =DATE(2016,1,1)+TIME(18,0,0) returns the Date & Time value for January 1, 2016 at 6PM.
The NOW function returns the current date and time, and the TODAY function returns the current date. Please note, however, that these functions are Volatile. For this reason, we would recommend basing date / time calculations on a reference date that is in the form (for example, a shift ‘start_time’ element). Please refer to the Volatile Functions section below for further details.
There are a number of other functions available for working with dates and times. Refer to the Function drop-down menu for a list.
