IndustraForms are generally split into sections and subsections. Sections group related information and fields for improved readability and a more streamlined workflow.

The above image shows two sections: Operator Crude Oil Distillation Report and Shift Targets and KPIs. The Operator Crude Oil Distillation Report section is split into four subsections, namely Shift Information, Attachment(s), Shift Crew, and Key Plant/Asset Status.

Sections and subsections can be conditionally visible. This means that some sections can be configured to only appear under certain conditions. For example, a Fire Information subsection may only become visible when an accident type is set to fire.

Sections and subsections can also be enabled or disabled. Enabled sections are editable while disabled sections show the field information but can’t be edited. A section can be configured to only allow certain users to edit it. The editing rights are governed by the user’s user rights, system permissions, or their assignment to a specific role in the process. For example, an Incident Details section can be configured to only allow a supervisor who has been assigned the Incident Reporter role to edit the section.

When a user has user profiles with different user rights (for example, a user's default user profile is operator, but their alternative user profile is supervisor), they have the editing rights as an operator and supervisor (in this example) regardless of what user profile is selected.
