Adding and removing symbol points enables you to modify the shape of a customized symbol. The example below shows a basic rectangular shape as it appears in the Edit window.

Click the symbol shape in the Edit window to select it.

Right-click the symbol between the start connection point and the end of the first line segment, and select Add Point.
The small green circle represents the start connection point.

Drag the point towards the spindle connection point so that the symbol resembles the example.

Right-click the symbol shape between the exit connection point and the third line segment, and select Add Point.

Drag the point towards the spindle connection point so that the symbol shape resembles the example.
To remove a symbol point, right-click the point, and select Delete Point.
