The SDB Merge tool is used to connect to two SDB databases and would display the difference in data between the two databases on the User interface. Using this visual representation users can choose which data they would like to merge from the source database into the target database. Merging of data is always from the source to target database.
Following enhancements are added to SDB Merge Tool for improving productivity:

Complete Merge functionality in SDB Merge Tool: This option is provided under Show Differences in Hierarchy mode and will be enabled only after complete database comparison between source and target database is completed. Using this functionality, the users can merge all the data from source database to target database with a single click.

Save Direct Children functionality for Specifications node: The users can merge specification along with all the child nodes (Spec header Geometrics, Idents, Spec Notes, etc.) when they merge a ‘Source only’ specification to target database.

Delete and Replace functionality for Spec Header Notes: The merge tool allows users to delete all the records under ‘Spec Header Notes’ node of a specification and replace them with the records from the source database.

Auto selection of all the records on Save to Database window: All the merged records are automatically selected to save them to database. This saves one extra mouse click for customers.

Display of NLS in which user is currently logged in: The details of NLS in which the users logged in to SDB Merge Tool are displayed. The users can see the current logged in NLS details in the bottom pane of SDB Merge Tool.
