Standard Database for Smart Reference Data Version
12.2

The SDB Merge tool is used to connect two SDB databases and display the differences in data between the two databases on the user interface. Using this visual representation, you can merge data. Merging of data is always from the source to the target database.

Ability to compare data between two different S3D configurations using the Custom Compare in Merge Tool

This release of the SDB Merge Tool provides the ability to compare the merge data between two different S3D configurations using the custom compare. Previously, the merge tool allowed merging of the data between same S3D configurations, however, users may also need to merge data between two different configurations. The recent release of the SDB Merge Tool now supports merging between two different configurations, which includes data table configuration, templates, and data table or item mappings.

The SDB Merge Tool also provides the Dependencies option. This option enables you to check the dependencies between the data table configuration, templates, and data table or item mappings, and filter the corresponding mapped templates for selected data table configurations and vice versa.

Provided with Delete and Replace option for various nodes

The SDB Merge Tool is enhanced to support the delete and replace options, along with the merge option at various nodes.

You can now delete and replace the target DB data with source DB data at different nodes. If the Delete and Replace option is not used, you need to log on to the SRD application to delete the data in the target DB.

SDB Merge Tool Configurator

The SDB Merge Tool log on page has been updated to remove the m_sys user and password, as they are database users. The Merge tool now requires the SRD user name or password for authentication.

A new SDB Merge Tool configurator utility has been developed to configure the databases used by the Merge Tool for comparison or merging. In the list box, the Merge Tool lists all the configured databases from this tool for both the source and target databases.

Ability to merge new PDMS interface data

You can now view and merge the data related to the new PDMS interface using the Merge Tool.
