You can log in to the SDB Merge Tool using your SRD username and password.
The SDB Merge Tool Configurator utility configures databases for use in the SDB Merge Tool for comparison or merging. The SDB Merge Tool then lists all the configured databases in the source and target list boxes.
The source and target database connection details must be configured by an administrator using the SDB Merge Tool Configurator utility to enable connection with the SDB Merge Tool.
Tool location
SDB Merge Tool Configurator is delivered as part of the SDB Merge Tool and is located at: <SDB Installation Location>\SDBMerge\SDBMergeToolConfigurator.exe.
Add a DataConnection
-
Select New Connection to add new database connection details.
-
In the Connection Details and M_SYS Password boxes, enter a connection name and system password.
-
After successful authentication, the provided database connection is configured for use in the SDB Merge Tool.
-
SDB Merge Tool Configurator can also be used to edit, delete, or test the existing connection details configured for use with the SDB Merge Tool.
-
You can provide connection details using the Easy Connect Naming Method or TNS Names. If TNS Names are used, make sure that the target database is configured with TNS Names in the source database server, and vice versa.
