The COG attributes with a suffix of 1 are reserved for customer use. Customers can
define their own COG data. An internal check for exporting COG data is provided; it
first looks for data added under COG attributes with a suffix of 1, and if that data
is not available, it will export SDB OOTB data.

Weld neck Flange |
SG |
SO Flg. |
Slip-on flange |
SW |
SW Flg. |

Required dimensional attributes for Weld neck flange are defined with table name P_FLANGE_1NPS_1SCH_IN as shown below:
A weld neck flange with attributes is shown below:
Valves
All the valve geometric data in SDB are defined as two parts, one is valve body and other as operator.
Valve Body
All the Geometric physical attributes related to the valve body are associated to each commodity code.
The parts that use this geometric are from groups VG, VL, and VC.
Required dimensional attributes for valves are defined with table name P_VALVE_1NPS_1SCH_IN and P_VALVE_1NPS_IN as shown below:
Since the number of records for the P_VALVE_1NPS_IN table is more than 16, P_VALVE_1NPS_IN_EX table is created as shown below.
A Gate valve with attributes is shown below:
Operators
-
The Valve Operator is defined separately from the valve body. Each valve operator is defined with reference to Valve Operator Number.
-
The Valve Operator Material Control Data is defined with necessary valve operator details i.e. Valve Operator Part Number and Valve Operator Type.
-
All the Geometric physical attributes related to the Valve Operator are associated with a Valve Operator Number and are defined in Integration > Smart 3D configuration > Templates.
-
Piping Commodity Material Control Data is defined with necessary association between Valve Body (Commodity Code) and Valve Operator Data (Valve Operator Number).
Typical Handwheel Operators
-
The handwheel valve operator symbol will use the Height, the Handwheel Diameter and the Offset from Valve Centerline.
-
The Base Diameter and the Shaft Diameter will be considered as optional.
-
The Offset from Valve Centerline will be determined by the piping commodity part data for the valves.
SDB has defined data for operator "OPHandwheelDB148" in Templates as show below:
Typical Gear Operator, Side Mounted Handwheel
The gear operator symbol will use the Handwheel Diameter, the Gear Box Diameter, the Offset, the Diameter, the Handwheel X-Offset from Operator Stem, the Handwheel Y-Offset from Operator Stem and the Offset from Valve Centerline.
The Offset from the Valve Centerline will be determined by the piping commodity part data for the valves.
SDB has defined data for Gear operator "OP_GSHDB220" in Templates as show below:
Typical Lever Operator
The lever operator symbol will use the Operator Height, the Operator Length and the Offset from the Valve Centerline.
The Offset from Valve Centerline will be determined by the piping commodity part data for the valves.
SDB has defined data for Lever operator "OP_LeverDB188" in Templates.
