Creating Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation Cable Data in CMS Component Manager
For creation of classes, attributes, adding properties to an existing class and so on, refer to the section Adding Data in CMS.

Add Smart Electrical cable data into existing class "C600V" under CABLING in CMS component manager as shown in the screen below:

Add the attributes that are required for Smart Electrical to existing classes in the Assign Properties Tab.

Update the attributes description with "SPEL Attribute" to identify the interface as shown in the screen below.

Add the data that is required to be exported for Smart Electrical in the attributes provided as shown in the screen below.

Similarly add the cable data for other Smart Electrical cable categories into the respective CMS Classes. Add Smart Instrumentation cable data into "INSTRUMENTATIONCABLES" under CABLING in CMS component manager as shown in the screen below.

Add the attributes that are required for Smart Instrumentation to existing classes in the Assign Properties Tab. Update the attributes description with "SPI Attribute" to identify the interface as shown in the screen below.

Create a new template and add the sheets which are generic into the template and add the data related to the sheets respectively as shown in this screenshot.

Create Data Table Mappings and provide Ident level mappings in each part class to export the Idents specific to interface as shown in this screenshot.

Create Data Table Configuration and update the retrieval methods and sources for each attribute in each part class to export the Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation cable data as shown in this snippet.

Export the data from Smart Reference Data and import into Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation. Perform all the placement testing as required by Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation.
Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation Post Processor Tool
The Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation data exported from Smart Reference Data should be carried out for post export operations using the Smart Electrical utility tool, which is delivered as part of SDB in the path shown below.
"<SDB installation Location>\SPEL_Utility\SRDExportedSPELData - PostProcessor.exe"
The following post export operations are done using the SRDExportedSPELData - PostProcessor.

The "Index" and the "Revision history" work sheets are removed from the workbook.

The column ‘A’ and Row ‘2’ are deleted from the ‘Cable’ and ‘ColorPattern’ work sheets.

The formatting (orientation) from the Row ‘1’ in the ‘Cable’ and ‘ColorPattern’ work sheets is removed.

The table ‘Cable’ for the data in the ‘Cable’ worksheet is defined.

The table ‘ColorPattern’ for the data in the ‘ColorPattern’ worksheet is defined.
