To create a 45 deg trimmable elbow, use the following steps:

  1. To create a new short code for a <45 Degree Direction Change, navigate to SRD > Spec > Short Code Management.

  2. Add the Smart 3D short code mapping for this component in the SP3D SHORT CODES tab on Short Code Management Grid.

  3. Assign the group and part to the short code.

  4. Add the commodity code to the short code at the specification level.

  5. To add the selection basis value 70 for the Piping Commodity Filter sheet on the Specification Mappings tab on Attribute Mappings, go to Integration > Smart3D > Smart 3D Configuration.

  6. Modify the Dependencies value to CC, P for the Selection Basis for the Piping Commodity Filter sheet on Data Table Configurations.

  7. Export the specification and place the component in Smart 3D.
