Control Status is used to exchange SDB improvements made by both client and Hexagon. Some control statuses have been predefined in screen A10.08 found under Administration > A.10 Base Information.
-
Control Status 1 Default: This is the default status. All new records will be created with the status as default.
-
Control Status 2 Checked: This means that the data has been checked independently. SDB clients are not supposed to use this status. It is reserved for Hexagon.
-
Control Status 3 Released: This means data cannot be changed without permission from a senior manager. SDB clients are not supposed to use this status. It is reserved for Hexagon.
-
Control Status 4 Locked: SDB clients can lock some part of SDB from being overwritten by SDB Migration.
-
Control Status 5 Modified: SDB clients are encouraged to participate in SDB development. One way to contribute is to use control status 5. In the future, the SDB Migration may collect all data marked with this control status for further analysis.
-
Control Status 9 Delete: SDB clients should not delete any data that comes with SDB without consulting Hexagon. If clients do need to delete some SDB ata, mark this data with control status 9. In the future during the SDB migration, the data marked with control status 9 will be sent back to Hexagon for further analysis.
Preserve Changes
Many SDB clients will want to customize SDB to some extent. Customizing may change existing SDB data (geometrics details, geometrics rules, descriptions, Smart 3D templates, and so on). This section explains which parts of SDB can be customized. It only covers the most common customization requirements. Clients need to contact Hexagon consultants for other kinds of customization.
