Weld Attributes
The following attributes specify which welds to include in the Base Support data driven assembly:
Attribute Name |
Description |
Implementation Details |
---|---|---|
IJUAhsWeldPart:: |
Specifies the part number or the part class to use for the support. To specify the value using WeldRule, do not specify any value for this property. |
Option 1 - Specify a part number or part class directly. Example: WeldPart - S3Dhs_WeldPoint-2 WeldRule - "" Option 2 - Use HgrRule to get the part. Example: WeldPart - "" WeldRule - WeldByPipeSize The repad weld is included if the support includes a repad part. The cap weld is included if the support includes a cap plate part. |
IJUAhsWeldRule:: |
Specifies the hgrSupportRule that returns the weld part number. The hanger rule must be the name of an existing rule in the catalog. To select the part number using Weld1Part, do not specify any value for this property. |
|
IJUAhsBPlateWeld:: |
Specifies the part number or the part class to use for the support. To select the part number using BasePlateWeldPartRule, do not specify any value for this property. |
|
IJUAhsBPlateWeldRl:: |
Specifies the hgrSupportRule that returns the weld part number. The hanger rule must be the name of an existing rule in the catalog. To select the part number using BasePlateWeldPart, do not specify any value for this property. |
|
IJUAhsBPlateWeld1::BasePlateWeldPart1 |
Specifies the part number or the part class to use for the support. This weld is between the Base Plate part and Building Steel. To select the part number using BasePlateWeldRule1, do not specify any value for this property. |
|
IJUAhsBPlateWeldRI1::BasePlateWeldRule1 |
Specifies the hgrSupportRule that returns the weld part number. This weld is between the Base Plate part and Building Steel. The hanger rule must be the name of an existing rule in the catalog. To select the part number using BasePlateWeldPart1, do not specify any value for this property. |
|
IJUAhsWeldPipeClBase1::WeldPipeClBase1 |
Specifies the part number or the part class to use for the support. To specify the value using WeldPipeClBase1Rule, do not specify any value for this property. Weld between pipe clamp and pipe, this will apply for PipeClampBase Supports only. |
|
IJUAhsWeldPipeClBase1Rl::WeldPipeClBase1Rule |
Specifies the hgrSupportRule that returns the weld part number. The hanger rule must be the name of an existing rule in the catalog. To select the part number using WeldPipeClBase1, do not specify any value for this property. |
|
IJUAhsWeldPipeClBase2::WeldPipeClBase2 |
Specifies the part number or the part class to use for the support. To specify the value using WeldPipeClBase2Rule, do not specify any value for this property. Weld between rod end and structure, this will apply for PipeClampBase Supports only. |
|
IJUAhsWeldPipeClBase2Rl::WeldPipeClBase2Rule |
Specifies the hgrSupportRule that returns the weld part number. The hanger rule must be the name of an existing rule in the catalog. To select the part number using WeldPipeClBase2, do not specify any value for this property. |
Weld Location
Base support TypeAssy = 2
Weld located between the Leg 1 part and the member part
Base Plate Weld
Weld located between the Leg 1 part and the Base Plate part
Base Plate Weld 1
Weld located between the Base Plate part and Building
SteelBOM Description
The default BOM description for the support includes SupportNumber and SupportDescription. Some supports include additional dimensions such as span or length in the following format:
<SupportNumber>, <PartDescription>, L = <BeamSpan>
The following example illustrates a typical BOM description:
-
SupportNumber: BS-01
-
PartDescription: Base support
-
BOM Description: BS-01, Base Support
You can specify the units of measurement for the support length using the following rules in the DDS_Rules sheet of the DDS_Assy.xls workbook:
-
SupportBOMPrimaryDistanceUnits
-
SupportBOMSecondaryDistanceUnits
-
SupportBOMDistancePrecisionType
-
SupportBOMDistancePrecision
For more information about the units of measurement in a BOM description, see Bill of Material Units.
