Prior to installing Oracle Client, you must previously have installed Microsoft .NET
Framework.

Start the Oracle Universal Installer.

On the Welcome page, click Next.

On the Select Installation Type page, from the list, select one of the following:

Administrator — For users who need Administrator functions, such as the ability to create tablespaces.

Runtime — For all other users.

Click Next.

On the Specify Oracle Home User page, select the required option.

Click Next.
-
On the Specify Installation Location page, check that the path in the Oracle Base field is pointing to the where you want to install the software. Click Browse to change the location.

The Oracle base by default points to the same Oracle base created when you installed the Oracle server.

The Software Location fields are updated according to the information in the Oracle Base field. If you want to change this location, use the Browse button to navigate to the required location.

Click Next.

On the Summary page, click Install.

On the Finish page, on completion of the installation, click Exit.

At the prompt click Yes.

Restart the client machine.

Create an alias to the Oracle database on the client machine using Oracle Net Manager.
The alias name can contain any alphanumeric characters without spaces.

Install the appropriate Oracle client patch.
After installation, you must not change any of the default values of the NLS_LANG parameter on the client.
