Hardware Recommendations

  • 2 GHz Intel® Pentium® processor

  • 2 GB RAM (4 GB RAM required for point cloud integration)

  • 500 MB free disk space (depending on components and modules installed, including dependencies)

  • Color display (1280 x 1024 resolution)

  • DVD drive access, either locally or through a network connection

  • Keyboard and Microsoft® Mouse or compatible pointing device

  • Graphics card designed for 3D intensive applications that meets the following requirements (required for working with point cloud data):

    • Hardware OpenGL 3.0 support

    • 256 MB dedicated RAM

    Beginning with Windows 10, Microsoft will enforce the Internet Host Table Specification RFC 952, which mandates that component hostname labels can contain only alphanumeric characters. Host names using underscores ('_') are not allowed. Refer to Microsoft KB 101785.

Software Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 (required for viewing the online documentation delivered with the software)

  • Adobe Reader 11 or later (required for viewing Printable Guides. You can download Acrobat Reader from the Adobe web site.)

  • SmartPlant License Manager 2011 or later

  • SmartPlant License Checkout Utility (required to run in remote license mode)

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5

  • Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 Service Pack 1

Software Compatibility

  • Citrix XENApp 7.7.6

    Citrix XENApp 7.6can be installed only on the Windows Server Server 2012 R2 64-bit operating system. The server acts as a client in this case.

Other Software

  • Leica Cyclone 7.3 (required for viewing point cloud data). You can download the Cyclone software from the Leica Geosystems web site.

  • SmartSketch Viewer 2011 R1 (optional software for viewing isometric drawing output). A copy of the software is delivered on the SmartPlant Isometrics DVD.
