  1. If you are in Settings mode, click Generate Catalogs on the toolbar to move from Settings mode to Generate mode.

    The software displays the following dialog box.

  2. On the Specification list tab, double-click a specification in the Specification List.

    The software automatically displays the Specification [Specification Name] tab, which lists the available component types contained within the selected specification.

  3. On the Specification [Specification Name] tab, click a component type in the Components By Type list.

    The software automatically displays the Components tab, which lists all of the available piping components for the selected component type.

  4. Click Detail View to display the Component settings tabs.

    In Generate mode, the following two data views are available:

  5. On the Components tab, select a component in the Piping Component List.

    The software displays several sets of tabs, each with specific types of property data.

  6. Click each tab to review property data for the selected component.

    • The following three Component settings tabs display the following sub-tabs:

      • Component data - Displays component properties as given from the Data file. For more information, see Data File Format in Neutral Input Data Files.

      • Output data - Displays calculated SmartPlant Isometrics data.

      • Bolting - Displays derived bolting settings.

    • The Schema definition tab displays the mandatory and specific properties as defined in the Schema file. For more information, see Schema File Format in Neutral Input Data Files.

    • The Units definition tab displays the units settings as defined in the Schema file.

  7. After reviewing component settings, do one of the following:

    • Click Exit to return to the Settings dialog box for the current Neutral project.

    • Click Overview to generate specifications from the Neutral project data.

Property data and component settings are read-only.
