When you first open the software, the software displays the Main window. From this window, you can perform the following tasks:

Create new projects
Open existing projects
Save a project
Configure project settings
Access the online help
Close a project, and exit the software

1 - Menu Bar

Click the name of a menu to display the menu's commands.

2 - Toolbar

I-Convert has a single toolbar that provides quick access to commonly used commands. The toolbar is an alternative to using menu items.

	Creates a new project (.ICP). For more information, see Create a new project.
	Opens an existing project (.ICP). For more information, see Open an existing project.
	Closes the current project.
	Saves the current project. For more information, see Save a project.
	Configures an AutoPlant project. For more information, see AutoPlant Projects.
	Configures a Neutral project. For more information, see Neutral Projects.
	Configures an IDF/PCF project. For more information, see IDF/PCF Projects.
	Configures a PDMS project. For more information, see PDMS Projects.
	Configures a PDS project. For more information, see PDS Projects.
	Configures a CADWorx Pipe project. For more information, see CADWorx Projects.
	Specifies project settings.
	Generates piping specifications and catalogs for use with SmartPlant Isometrics.
	Opens the I-Convert online Help.

Not all toolbar icons display at all times. For example, when you initially open the software, only the New , Open ,and Helpicons are available on the toolbar.

3 - Status Bar

The status bar contains information about the type of project that is currently open. If no project is open, the status bar displays No Module Loaded. During catalog generation, the status bar displays information about the progress of the generation process.
