After all activities involving the application metadata have been completed, the Disconnect method on the metadata adapter will be called indicating that the metadata adapter should sever connection with the metadata data store. If the metadata data store is non-transactional, then this method should be used to save the metadata contents (may optionally bring up a form and solicit user input).
