  1. On the menu bar, click File > Database Type Test and Query.

  2. Under Database type, do the following:

    • Select Oracle.

    • In the ODBC driver box, enter the DBMS parameter of your Oracle version.

  3. Under Connection settings, do the following:

    • In the Schema logon name box, enter the target Domain schema logon name specified by the System Administrator when initializing the domain.

    • In the Schema logon password box, enter the target Domain schema logon password specified by the System Administrator when initializing the domain.

  4. In the Server name and Database name boxes, enter the Oracle instance alias name, which is the same for the Oracle server name and Oracle database name.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • Click Actions > Connect.

    • Click .

SHARED Tip The Results pane displays the result of the connection. A zero (0) indicates a successful operation. Codes that indicate a connection failure include a message explaining the reason for the failure.
