You can control the appearance of methods in the Web Client, such as actions menu items, by suppressing the method from display using the Desktop Client. In this way, any method exposed as an actions menu item or function in a feature set can be hidden from the interface, but the method will still be visible in the Desktop Client.

In the Desktop Client, find the method you want to suppress, and click Update.

In the Update dialog box, select the Suppress in Web Client option.

By default, the suppress option is set to false so existing methods are displayed and unaffected by an upgrade.

If a method is configured to appear as a button on a screen other than the feature set screen, when selected it is disabled. An information message informs you that the method is not available because it has been suppressed.
