This command allows you to manage the files on an existing WORKING version without creating a new one. You can add new files or delete existing files.

  1. Select a row item, and click Actions > Manage Files.

  2. In the New Files pane, select the file system tab.

  3. Click CHOOSE FILES, select files, and click FINISH.

SHARED Tip You can access other local systems from which to upload files.

  • You cannot upload certain file formats or file name extensions. For more information, see Site Settings node properties.

  • If you close the File Management page before files have successfully uploaded, any files still in the queue are not uploaded.

  • When attaching a master file, if it references a file attached to more than one document, you can resolve the duplicates displayed in the Reference Files Details window. For more information, see Attach master file which references other files and Working with reference files and relationships.

  • If a master file references files that do not exist in the database, the names of the missing files are displayed in the Reference Files Details window. For more information, see Attach master file which references other files.

  • When downloading files that are attached to multiple documents, if more than one file has the same name in the downloaded zipped folder, the following scenarios apply:

    • If the duplicate file does not have any reference files, it is automatically downloaded in the GUID folder, inside the zipped folder. For example, if 2 copies of the file MyDoc.rtf attached to multiple documents are being downloaded, then 1 copy of the file is automatically saved in the GUID folder.

  • If the duplicate file has reference files attached, then the duplicate file along with its reference files are downloaded in the GUID folder, inside the zipped folder. For example, if 2 copies of the Master.dgn along with Ref1.dgn and Ref2.dgn are being downloaded, then 1 copy of the Master.dgn along with Ref1.dgn and Ref2.dgn is automatically saved in the GUID folder.

  • You can view the related files by selecting a document from a results grid, and then selecting Actions > Show All Files.

If you want to search a non-published Hexagon 3D model, you must attach the files in a specific order so that the label database file (.mdb2) is automatically generated. You must attach the corresponding .xml file to the document before attaching the 3D WebGL viewer file (.binz).
