Configure the Graphic View Control (GVC) and the Visualization Data Service (VDS) - SmartPlant Foundation - IM Update 46 - Help - Hexagon

This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Configure viewing of Hexagon PPM file formats (retired).

You must do the following to configure viewing using the Graphic View Control for SmartPlant Foundation Web Client environments:

• Install and configure the VDS

  If you are upgrading from a version later than SmartPlant Foundation Web Client Update 34, the Visualization Data Service (VDS) must also be upgraded. It is available in the Additional Software subfolder of the product installation folder. For more upgrade information, see Important news about compatible software and related tools.

• Create a VDS connection

• Enable the Graphic View Control (GVC)

• Configure WebGL renditions

If needed you can generate your own localization files for the Graphic View Control (GVC):

• Localize the Graphic View Control (GVC)

After installation and configuration, you should Verify your VDS settings.
