You can reassign your workflow tasks to another user for a designated period of time.

When should tasks be reassigned and by whom?

  • If you are out of the office, you can temporarily reassign tasks to another user. During the dates you are away, any tasks assigned to you are automatically reassigned to your designated user. The task is removed from your To Do List, and added to the To Do List of the designated user. Tasks the designated user does not complete can be manually reassigned back to you when you return.

  • When you cannot complete tasks, you can reassign them to other users who have similar roles.

  1. Select Settings > Task Reassignment .

  2. Select the From Date and To Date during which your tasks will be assigned to another user.

  3. In Assignee Filters, select the role criteria, Same Role, Managed by Role, Manage Role, or Any Role, to filter the list of users to those that can be assigned the tasks.

  4. In Assignee Selection, search for and select the user to which you want to reassign the items using one of the following:

    • Select a Project, and select a user from the Assignee list in the same row. This user is assigned the workflow tasks only for that project. You can select different users for each project.

    • Click Assignee options, and select a Common Assignee. A Common Assignee is a user that has a common role across a single project or multiple projects and can be assigned your tasks for projects based on that common role.

  5. Click FINISH.

SHARED Tip When you return to the office, you can run the My active workflow reassignments or My Document Review Assignments reports to see the current status of any tasks that were reassigned to your deputy. You can ask your deputy to manually reassign any uncompleted tasks back to yourself.
