Server Manager uses script files to create local operating system users and application pools for the newly created sites.
Server Manager also uses script files to set up basic permissions for SmartPlant Foundation. The script files create a local user group and give it basic permissions to folders.
Script files can be modified to add or remove functionality and to hardcode values that are used repeatedly. Once a script file is executed, it can be saved to be used again.
The IIS configuration scripts used to create application pools and local operating system users and to set permissions for a local user group are located in the installation directory under the Server Manager folder. For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\SPF\SPFServerManager\UsersAndPermissionsScripts).
