The following configuration is required on all SmartPlant Foundation servers that run the SmartConverter.

Click Start > Administrative Tools > Component Services.

In the tree view, expand Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config.

Right-click SmartSketch Symbol.

On the shortcut menu, click Properties.

Click the General tab.

Change the Authentication Level option to None.

Click the Identity tab.

Click This user, and type the server name and user name separated by \ in the User box.
The user must have permission to run SmartSketch on the SmartPlant Foundation Server.

In the Password and Confirm password boxes, type the password for the SmartSketch Symbol identity user account.

Give the SPFUsers group permission to launch SmartSketch by performing the following steps:

Click the Security tab.

Change the Launch and Activation Permissions to Customize.

Click Edit in the Launch and Activation Permissions section, and add the SPFUsers group created by the SmartPlant Foundation Server Manager.

Click OK to dismiss the Launch Permission dialog box, and then OK again to dismiss the SmartSketch Symbol Properties utility.
