10.1

To issue material for particular list nodes (representing isometric drawings), you can use the MIR by BOM Commodity screen.

To define a MIR, create a new record using the Create MIR button, and select the BOM Commodity as MIR Type from LOV and select create.

Select date from the Date Picker in the Issue On field.

Select the type of MIR from the drop-down list in the Issue Type field. The available values are:

  • Regular (default)\

  • Miss

  • Lost

  • Damage

  • Reverse Pick Ticket.

Enter the name of the person who issued the material in the Issue By field. Next, select the subcontractor who will receive the material from the LOV in the Company field. If the project default ZC_BIN_LOC is set to BLOC, select a site code from the LOV in the Site Code field. Then, select the overissue warehouse assigned to this subcontractor from the LOV in the Overissue Warehouse field. This field is only mandatory, if you enter issue quantities that are greater than the related list position quantity. Select a location from the LOV in the Location field and enter descriptions for the MIR in the Short Description and Description fields. Save the new MIR.

To assign the inventory issue records to the MIR in the second (Inventory Issues) tab, you can click the Populate List Nodes button to open the BOM List Nodes screen.

Select the check box against the list nodes to be populated and click the Fill In button at the bottom of the screen. The BOM List Nodes screen closes, and all the list positions of the selected node are copied to the MIR.

In the BOM list nodes Window, you can check the position availability, by clicking on the hyper link check against the corresponding node. Alternatively, you can select show positions available indicator to check and display position availability against all the nodes.

Or, you can do this process manually by clicking on add Row and then using the LOV in the BOM Path field. BOM List Nodes screen will open, select the check box against the nodes, and click the Fill In button at the bottom of the screen. The LOV closes, and Inventory Items tab will open automatically, which displays all list positions of the selected node.

Using the Available in Stock and Not Issued buttons, you can display the positions for which material is on-hand in the inventory, or the positions for which material is not issued completely (list pos qty - list pos issued qty > 0).

Select the check boxes of all positions to be copied to the MIR, or click the on check box at the column header level to select all positions at once. To cancel the selection, you can Uncheck the check box. Finally, click the Fill In button to close window and to copy all selected list positions.

If the List Node field has a Heat Exist Indicator as Yes, it indicates that heat numbers exist for this item. Select the list position and then click on the Heat numbers button, to open the Issued Heat Numbers screen.

For field descriptions and how to approve, post, and unpost a MIR, and how to create a revision, see MIR by Reservation.

The Unpost button is only enabled for posted MIRs of type Regular as long as no higher revision exists of this MIR.

MLD (Miss, Lost, or Damaged) Processing

MLD processing is only used for MIRs with issue type Miss, Lost, or Damaged. The default value for the MLD type is always Register and Reissue (for MIRs with issue type Regular, the MLD type is always NULL). The available MLD types are:

  • Register and Reissue - The MLD is registered (with this MIR) and a new quantity is issued. You can only insert values in the MLD Register Quantity field and the Issued Quantity field.

  • Register Only ā€“ The MLD is registered only. You can only insert the MLD Register quantity. When the MIR is posted, the inventory is not updated.

  • Use OI to compensate - You can insert a quantity (maximum overissue on-hand qty) to compensate the MLD. When the MIR is posted, the quantities are issued against the overissue warehouse (MLD Register Quantity) and the inventory warehouse (Issued Quantitiy). The overissue quantity is revised for the subcontractor in previous MIRs.

To issue material with associated heat numbers, select the inventory issue, and click on heat number by BOM button Issued Heat Numbers by BOM.

List positions for which heat numbers have been issued are shown with Heat Exists Indicator as Yes.
