  1. In the left Navigation Panel, click Requisition Node to navigate to the Requisition Node detail screen. Alternatively, you can press the next button.

  2. Click in the Requisition Node field.

  3. In the upcoming Requisition Nodes Window, click on Open Nodes and Templates in the lower left corner.

  4. In your Internet Browser, a new Tab opens with the Nodes and Templates page. You can also navigate through Home > Requisitions > Nodes and Templates.

  5. In the Requisition Node block, click to create a new Requisition Master Node.

  6. In the upcoming Create Requisition Master Node window enter ‘PIPING’ in the Node field, 20 in the Seq field, ‘Piping’ in the Short Desc field, and ‘Piping Discipline’ in the Description field. Click the Add button, to save the new Requisition Master Node.

  7. In the Requisition Node block, click to create a new Requisition Child Node.

  8. In the upcoming Create Requisition Child Node window enter ‘PIPES’ in the Node field, 10 in the Order Seq field, ‘Pipes’ in the Short Desc field, and ‘Pipe Material’ in the Description field. Click the Add button to save the new Requisition Child Node.

  9. In the same way, create further requisition nodes underneath the master node PIPING as listed:

Requisition Template - PIPES

  1. In the Requisition Node block, click the ‘PIPES’ child node (below PIPING master node), and then click Add Row button in the Requisition Templates block.

  2. Enter ‘PIPE-CS’ as the name of the new template in the Name field
    Select ‘Yes’ in the Enabled indicator field.
    Enter ‘Pipe CS’ in the Short Desc field and ‘Pipe Carbon Steel’ in the Description field.
    Click in the Requisition Rule field and select PIPING from the list
    Next, click in the REQ Desc Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Enter 1 in the Exe Seq field.
    Click in the Where Condition field to open the Where Condition window. On the lower left corner of this window, click on Open Where Conditions.

    In the Browser, a new tab will automatically open in the Home > Administration > Query Builder.

  3. Click Add Row.Enter ‘PIPES’ in the Name field and ‘Pipes’ in the Short Desc and Description fields. ‘Property Based’ is automatically set as the default Type; do not change it.

  4. Click in the Module field and select ‘R1041’ in the upcoming Modules Window, and then click Save.

  5. Enter the Where Condition Details by clicking the new created ‘Pipes’ Where Condition.

  6. In the tab Properties, the condition ‘Ident mapped to Ident’ was automatically inserted. This condition is an internal condition and must not be changed.

  7. Click Add Row and then click in the Property field of the new record. Select GROUP_CODE from the list.
    The GROUP_CODE property is entered in the Property field. The = as the operator is automatically selected in the Operator field.

    The operator = means that the value found for this attribute must exactly match the value entered in the Value field.

  8. Enter ‘P’ in the Value field, and click Save.

    In our example, P is the group code of the Pipes commodity group.

  9. Click the Generate View button to create the associated MV_WHERE view. The View Status field should be set to Valid as shown.

  10. Close the Browser tab Where Condition Details and return to the Nodes and Templates tab with the open Where Conditions Window.

  11. Click Refresh. . Select ‘PIPES’ from the Where Conditions list, and then click Save.

Requisition Template – FLANGES

  1. In the Requisition Node block, click the ‘FLANGES’ child node ( below PIPING master node), and then click the Add Row button in the Requisition Templates block.

  2. Enter ‘PIPE-CS’ as the name of the new template in the Name field.
    Select ‘Yes’ in the Enabled indicator field.
    Enter ‘Flanges’ in the Short Desc field and ‘Flanges’ in the Description field.
    Click in the Requisition Rule field and select PIPING from the list
    Next, click in the REQ Desc Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Enter 1 in the Exe Seq field.
    Click in the Where Condition field to open the Where Condition window. On the lower left corner of this window, click Open Where Conditions.

    In the Browser, a new tab will automatically open in the Home > Administration > Query Builder.

Requisition Template - FITTINGS

  1. In the Requisition Node block, click the ‘FITTINGS’ child node (below PIPING master node), and then click Add Row button in the Requisition Templates block.

  2. Enter ‘BW_FITTINGS’ as the name of the new template in the Name field.
    Select ‘Yes’ in the Enabled indicator field.
    Enter ‘BW Fittings’ in the Short Desc field and ‘Buttweld Fittings’ in the Description field.
    Click in the Requisition Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Next, click in the REQ Desc Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Enter 1 in the Exe Seq field.
    Click in the Where Condition field to open the Where Condition window. On the lower left corner of this window, click Open Where Conditions.

    In the Browser, a new tab will automatically open in the Home > Administration > Query Builder screen.

  3. Click Add Row and enter ‘BW_FITTINGS’ in the Name field and ‘BW Fittings’ in the Short Desc and ‘Buttweld Fittings’ in the Description fields. ‘Property Based’ is automatically set as the default Type; do not change it.

    For this node, we need two templates to cover the buttweld fittings and the forged fittings.

  12. Click the Add Row button in the Requisition Templates block.

  13. Enter ‘FORGED_FITTINGS’ as the name of the new template in the Name field.
    Select ‘Yes’ in the Enabled indicator field.
    Enter ‘Forged Fittings’ in the Short Desc field and ‘Description field.
    Click in the Requisition Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Next, click in the REQ Desc Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Enter 1 in the Exe Seq field.
    Click in the Where Condition field to open the Where Condition window. On the lower left corner of this window, click Open Where Conditions.

  14. In the Browser, a new tab will automatically open in the Home > Administration > Query Builder, click Add Row.

  15. Enter ‘FO_FITTINGS’ in the Name field and ‘Forged Fittings’ in the Short Desc and ‘Forged Fittings’ in the Description fields. ‘Property Based’ is automatically set as the default Type; do not change it.

  16. Click in the Module field, and then select ‘R1041’ in the upcoming Modules Window. Click Save.

  17. Enter the Where Condition Details, by clicking the new created ‘FO_FITTINGS’ Where Condition.

  18. In the tab Properties, the condition ‘Ident mapped to Ident’ was automatically inserted. This condition is an internal condition and must not be changed.

  19. Click Add Row and then click in the Property field of the new record. Select GROUP_CODE from the list.

  23. Click Refresh. . Select ‘FO_FITTINGS’ from the Where Conditions list, and then Save.

Requisition Template - LEFTOVERS

  1. In the Requisition Node block, click the ‘LEFTOVERS’ child node (below PIPING master node).

  2. Click the Add Row button in the Requisition Templates block.

  3. Enter ‘REMAINING_MATERIAL as the name of the new template in the Name field.
    Select ‘Yes’ in the Enabled indicator field.
    Enter ‘Remaining Material’ in the Short Desc field and ‘Remaining Material’ in the Description field.
    Click in the Requisition Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Next, click in the REQ Desc Rule field and select PIPING from the list.
    Enter 1 in the Exe Seq field.
    Click in the Where Condition field to open the Where Condition window. On the lower left corner of this window, click Open Where Conditions.

  4. In the Browser, a new tab will automatically open in the Home > Administration > Query Builder, click Add Row.

  5. Enter ‘ALL’ in the Name field and ‘All Material’ in the Short Desc and Description fields. ‘Property Based’ is automatically set as the default Type; do not change it.
    Click in the Module field and select ‘R1041’ in the upcoming Modules Window. Save the changes.

  6. Enter the Where Condition Details, by clicking the new created ‘ALL’ Where Condition.

  7. In the Where Condition Details page of this Where Condition do not add anything, just click Generate View button.

  8. Click the Generate View button to create the associated MV_WHERE view. The View Status field should be set to Valid as displayed in the following image.

  9. Close the Browser tab Where Condition Details and return to the Nodes and Templates tab with the open Where Conditions Window.

  10. Click Refresh. and then ‘All’ from the Where Conditions list.Click Save.

  11. Close the Browser tab Nodes and Templates and return to the Material Take Off Jobs tab with the open Requisition Nodes Window.

  12. Select the PIPING master node and click Add Req Node.
    As the Requisition Master Node ‘PIPING’ is selected, no Requisition Templates are shown below, because the templates were created below the Child Nodes.
