  1. Select a component in the Material Builder tree view.

  2. In the Sizes grid, click inside a bore cell.

  3. Specifiy a size, and then press ENTER to move to the next bore cell. You can add as many sizes to a material as are needed.

  • In the Sizes grid, switching between the Engineering and Stick modes in the material diagram control impacts the column headings for bores and legs in the Sizes grid. In Engineering mode, the column headings display as BoreA, DimA, and DimB. In Stick mode, the column headings display as Run_1, Run_2, Leg_1, and Leg_2.

  • When you type size data directly in the sizes grid, you can use decimal or fractional units, using either millimeters (mm) or in inches (in). The following values are examples of valid bore size entries:

    • 1.5

    • 1-1/2

    • 1 1/8

    • 0.125

    • 1-1/8 in

    • 1/2in

    • 0.5mm

    • 0.25 in

  • If you do not specify a unit of measure, the software uses the default bore units. You can view the default bore unit in the Material Builder status bar.
