Smart Completions allows users to check out documents. This eliminates the possibility of multiple users viewing and editing documents at the same time, therefore creating contradicting changes or loss of data. To check out a document, highlight the row and click Check Out from the bottom ribbon.
You can batch edit Document records. Batch editing is achievable when records have one or more common attributes.
This process can save enormous amounts of time, but must be done very carefully, as large amounts of data can be manipulated at the push of a button, and changes have a cascading effect across many records. Because of the potential for error, only highly qualified users and administrators have the rights to batch edit data in the Smart Completions system.
