The following attributes are used to define the parts that are included in a Guide support:

IJUAhsGuidePt::GuidePart

Specifies the part that the Guide support uses.

For the Guide assembly (Guide.cs), this attribute must specify the part number or the part class of a Guide SmartPart.

For the Hanger Beam Guide assembly (HgrBeamGuide.cs), this attribute must specify the part number of a Rich Hanger Beam support component or a Plate SmartPart.

Plate Guide Attributes

The following attributes are used by the Guide support:

Specifies the override guide length on the guide part.

Rich Hanger Beam Guide Attributes

The Rich Hanger Beam Guide data driven assembly uses the following attributes when the GuidePart, GuideRule, or both specify a Hanger Beam part. These attributes control the orientation of the Hanger Beam steel.

If a Plate SmartPart is used, these attributes are ignored.

Specifies the orientation of the Hanger steel.

The following codelist values from hsSteelOrientation codelist table from the DDS_Assy_Codelist.xls workbook are supported:

1 - Horizontal

IJUAhsSteelCP:: SteelCardinalPoint

Specifies the relative position of the Hanger Steel section. Fifteen cardinal positions are available as shown below.

For example, Cardinal point 1 on an Angle section results in the placement of Hanger Steel parts as follows:

The section on the left is a reflection of the section on the right.

IJUAhsSteelCPX:: CPOffsetX

Specifies a numerical value for the distance that the cardinal point must be offset along the x-axis of the cross section.

The following example uses a Steel cardinal point 1.

IJUAhsSteelCPY:: CPOffsetY

Specifies a numerical value for the distance that the cardinal point must be offset along the y-axis of the cross section.

The following example uses a Steel cardinal point 1.

IJUAhsSteelAng:: SteelAngle

Specifies the angle by which the steel cross-section is rotated about the specified cardinal point.

For example, if SteelCardinalPoint is 1, the SteelAngle would result in a rotation as shown below:

IJUAhsReflectSteel:: ReflectSteel

Specifies whether the Hanger Steel part must reflect about y-axis of the cross section.

Use the following values:

0 - False

IJUAhsSteelLen:: SteelLength

Specifies the length of the Hanger Steel plate.

For SteelOrientation - Horizontal

Input Dimension Attributes

Both the Guide SmartPart and Hanger Beam Guide assemblies use the following input dimension attributes:

Guide Offsets

Guide types such as Pipe Guide, Shoe Guide, and Plate Guide use the following offsets to offset the location of the Guide support:

Specifies the offset for the Guide support along the x-axis.

IJUAhsGuideOffXRl::GuideOffsetXRule

Specifies a rule to get the offset for the Guide support along the x-axis.

If you specify a value, the software will get ā€˜GuideOffsetXā€™ using this rule

Specifies the attribute that is used to select the ā€˜GuideOffsetXā€™ value

IJUAhsGuideY::GuideOffsetY

Specifies the offset for the Guide support along the y-axis.

IJUAhsGuideZ::GuideOffsetZ

Specifies the offset for the Guide support along the z-axis.

Offsets are specified in the support co-ordinate system. X along the pipe, Y lateral to the pipe, and Z towards the supporting structure.

Pipe Guide Dimensions

Pipe Guide types use the following dimensions. For the Guide SmartPart, the corresponding attributes on the SmartPart must be occurrence attributes in order for the support assembly to set them. If the occurrence attributes are not available, the support assembly does not set the values on the Guide SmartPart.

Specifies the Guide gap to the left side of the pipe.

Specifies the Guide gap to the right side of the pipe.

Shoe Guide Dimensions

Shoe Guide types use the following dimensions. For the Guide SmartPart, the corresponding attributes on the SmartPart must be occurrence attributes in order for the support assembly to set them. If the occurrence attributes are not available, the support assembly does not set the values on the Guide SmartPart.

Specifies the Shoe height for the Guide support.

IJUAhsGuideShoeW:: ShoeWidth

Specifies the Shoe width for the Guide support.

The Shoe Guide also uses the GuideGap and GuideGap2 attributes as described in the Pipe Guide Dimensions.

Plate Guide Dimensions

Plate Guide uses the following dimensions. For the Guide SmartPart, the corresponding attributes on the SmartPart must be occurrence attributes in order for the support assembly to set them. If the occurrence attributes are not available, the support assembly does not set the values on the Guide SmartPart.

Riser Guide Dimensions

Riser Guide uses the following dimensions. The support assembly uses only occurrence attributes to set the values on the Guide SmartPart. If the occurrence attributes are not available, the support assembly does not set the values on the Guide SmartPart.

RiserGuideRotation

Specifies the angle for rotation around the pipe of the riser guide support.

IJUAhsGuideQty::GuideQty

Specifies the number of parts to be used by the guide support.

This attribute defines the number of guides for the SmartPart data-driven assembly (Guide.cs).

For example, quantity of four guides yield four parts. Each guide consists of one part.

For the Hanger Beam Guide data driven assembly (HgrBeamGuide.cs), this attribute defines the number of guides indirectly.

For example, quantity of four guides yield eight parts. Each guide consists of two steel sections.

You can specify any number of guides. The software adjusts the space and places them around the pipe.

The Riser Guide uses the Guide gap attributes as described in the Pipe Guide Dimensions. This guide also uses the Shoe Width and Shoe Height attributes as described in the Shoe Guide Dimensions.

Base Guide Dimensions

Base Guide uses the following dimensions. The support assembly uses only occurrence attributes to set the values on the Guide SmartPart. If the occurrence attributes are not available, the support assembly does not set the values on the Guide SmartPart.

Specifies the plate length for the Guide support.

IJUAhsGuideDir::GuideDirection

Specifies a codelist value for the direction of the guide.

Available options are:

  • North/South

  • East/West

  • North/South/East/West

The Plate Width and Guide Angle attributes are the same as in the Plate Guide Dimensions. The Guide Gap attribute is the same as in the Pipe Guide Dimensions.
