Near the top of the main window on the Home Tab, there is a row of buttons called the Elements Panel:
Working from left to right, the components referred are:

Cylinder - Cylindrical shell |

Torisphere - Torispherical head |

Cone - Conical head or shell segment |

ANSI/Bolted Flange - Bolted body flange |
|

Ellipse - Elliptical head |
|

Sphere - Spherical head or shell |

|
Welded Flat Head - Places a welded flat head. |

|
Skirt - Skirt support with base ring |
The remaining commands are explained later in this document. While working in PV Elite, hover your mouse cursor over any of the buttons to display a tooltip that briefly describes the function of the button:
