Once the handover is complete, you can lock a plant to prevent any authoring tools from sharing changes to it directly. After the plant is locked, any changes to it must be made through a project and merged up to the plant.

In the Web Client, find the plant object.

In the Actions menu, select Update.

Check the Locked for tool data share option.
You can clear this option later if you need to allow tools to share changes directly
to the plant.
